About the Role
At Webflow, the Partner Success & Marketplace team is critical to how we scale and build a vibrant ecosystem of freelancers, agencies, and developers to bring Webflow to more people across the globe. As an Engineering Manager on this team, you’ll lead a team of talented engineers building the platform for our growing community of partners. In this role, you’ll partner with stakeholders across Product, Design, and Engineering to set the vision and roadmap for the future of our Partner platform.
What you’ll do
- Lead, mentor, and coach a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Partner closely with Product Managers and Designers to define the team’s vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Drive the execution of the team’s roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and technical requirements.
- Contribute to the technical architecture and design of our Partner platform, advocating for best practices and long-term scalability.
- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and proactively address challenges to ensure smooth project execution.
- Foster a strong engineering culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
- Collaborate with other engineering managers and leaders to drive cross-functional initiatives and improve engineering processes across the organization.
- Participate in the hiring process, attracting and retaining top engineering talent.
What you’ll bring
Minimum qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a software engineering manager, leading and growing high-performing teams.
- 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
- Demonstrated experience hiring, mentoring, and retaining engineers.
- Proven ability to partner with product and design to drive product strategy and execution.
- Strong technical background in web development, with expertise in modern frameworks and technologies (e.g., React, Node.js, AWS).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- A desire to manage managers.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience building and scaling a marketplace or partner ecosystem platform.
- Experience working on a large-scale SaaS product.
- Experience working with GraphQL.
