The Senior Manager, Professional Services, Technical Program Management

Our Professional Services Team is growing! We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead and expand our Technical Program Management (TPM) team within Professional Services. As a Senior Manager, you will be instrumental in managing, mentoring, and developing a team of highly skilled TPMs who support our most complex and visible client engagements. You will drive operational excellence, contribute to strategic initiatives, and ensure the successful delivery of Professional Services projects, ultimately enhancing client satisfaction and contributing to the growth of the organization.

What you’ll do

  • Manage and grow a team of Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to support the delivery of our highest complexity, highest visibility Professional Services engagements.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development to a team of TPMs, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices for Technical Program Management, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across all engagements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, and Engineering, to ensure alignment and successful execution of Professional Services projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure client satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and profitability of the Professional Services organization.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with project delivery, ensuring timely and successful completion of engagements.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the Professional Services portfolio, identifying new opportunities and solutions to meet client needs.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to provide feedback from the field to improve our products and professional services offerings.
  • Participate in customer calls as needed to help drive the success of the project.
  • Manage financial performance of Professional Services, including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue recognition.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • 8+ years of experience in Professional Services or a similar client-facing technical role, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management position.
  • Proven experience managing and mentoring a team of Technical Program Managers or similar technical professionals.
  • Deep understanding of Professional Services methodologies, project management principles, and service delivery best practices.
  • Strong technical background with experience in enterprise software, cloud technologies, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives, manage complex projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to use GitLab.
