We are seeking a dedicated computer science professor for a university setting. This role involves comprehensive academic duties including teaching, research, and student support.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate and graduate students.
- Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, and direct seminars and laboratory work.
- Advise students on program of study and academic career opportunities.
- Direct research of graduate students and other research staff.
- Conduct research in field of specialization and publish findings in scholarly journals or books.
- Serve on faculty committees for example, curriculum development and student appeals.
- Supervise the work of graduate students.
- Teach students through lectures, seminars and laboratory sessions.
- Evaluate student progress and advise students on academic career.
Prerequisites:
- Education: Earned doctorate (Ph.D.).
- Work Experience: Experience an asset; experience in developing and teaching courses at undergraduate and graduate level.
- Specific Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students.
- Ability to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in Computer Science.
- Ability to supervise graduate students and their research projects, theses, and dissertations in Computer Science and related areas.
- Ability to conduct an active research program and publish scholarly articles, books or papers.
- Ability to secure external funding for research and collaborate with local and national industry to develop applied research opportunities.
- Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and interest in scholarly activities and research.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential.
- Ability to teach in French.
- Ability to serve on university and faculty committees.
- Ability to contribute to departmental, university and community life, student recruitment, and the implementation of new or revised programs or courses.

- Qualifications: Candidate must be eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.
