The Vice President – Digital (Nonprofit) leads strategy, client relations, and team management for digital fundraising and advocacy campaigns for progressive nonprofit clients.
We’re looking for an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital fundraising and advocacy, a proven track record of managing client relationships, and a passion for progressive causes.
What you’ll do:
- Lead strategy for digital fundraising, advocacy, and paid media campaigns for a portfolio of progressive nonprofit clients, owning the client relationship, leading account teams, and managing client revenue.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop comprehensive digital strategies, and execute campaigns that achieve their fundraising and advocacy goals.
- Serve as a key strategic point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance, proactive recommendations, and responsive communication.
- Oversee the day-to-day management of client accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
- Mentor and manage a team of digital strategists, fostering their professional growth, and ensuring their contributions align with client objectives and company values.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital fundraising and advocacy, sharing insights with clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., creative, analytics, advertising) to ensure seamless execution of integrated digital campaigns.
- Actively participate in business development efforts, including pitching new clients, developing proposals, and expanding existing client relationships.
Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in digital fundraising, advocacy, or marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital campaigns that drive measurable results for nonprofit organizations or political campaigns.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and tactics, including email marketing, social media, paid advertising, SEO, and content marketing.
- Excellent client management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and articulate complex strategies clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for progressive causes and a commitment to making a positive impact through digital engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Political Science) preferred.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, EveryAction, NGP VAN) and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and conversion rate optimization techniques.
- Master’s degree or advanced certification in a relevant field.
