Vice-President, Revenue & Strategic Partnerships

Job Summary

Reporting to the CEO, the Vice-President, Revenue & Strategic Partnerships will lead the development and execution of the organization’s revenue generation strategy, encompassing philanthropic giving (individual, corporate, foundation), earned revenue streams, and strategic partnerships. This pivotal role is responsible for driving sustainable growth, expanding our impact, and ensuring financial stability.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue generation strategy, including identifying new opportunities for philanthropic giving, earned revenue streams, and strategic partnerships.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing team of fundraising and partnership professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, foundations, and other key stakeholders, ensuring strong engagement and long-term commitment.
  • Oversee the entire fundraising lifecycle, from prospecting and cultivation to solicitation, acknowledgment, and stewardship, ensuring best practices and ethical standards are maintained.
  • Drive the creation and execution of compelling proposals, presentations, and outreach materials tailored to diverse audiences and funding opportunities.
  • Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to align revenue generation strategies with the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and analyze fundraising performance, preparing regular reports for the CEO and Board of Directors, and adjusting strategies as needed to achieve targets.
  • Manage budgets related to revenue generation activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and a strong return on investment.
  • Represent the organization at external events, conferences, and networking opportunities, enhancing our visibility and reputation.
  • Stay abreast of trends and innovations in philanthropy, social enterprise, and strategic partnerships to inform and evolve our revenue strategies.

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in senior leadership roles within revenue generation, fundraising, business development, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven track record of success in exceeding ambitious revenue targets and securing significant philanthropic gifts, grants, or partnerships.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities, with a capacity to identify opportunities, develop innovative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of philanthropic trends, best practices in fundraising, and diverse revenue models.
  • Demonstrated experience in cultivating and stewarding relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) and fundraising analytics tools.
  • A passion for the organization’s mission and a commitment to making a positive social impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree or CFRE designation is an asset.
