Senior Manager – Insurance Product Management

What you’ll do:

  • Define and execute the product strategy, roadmap, and requirements for Gravie’s insurance products, aligning with overall company goals and market needs.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify opportunities and inform product development.
  • Collaborate closely with actuarial, underwriting, sales, marketing, operations, and technology teams to ensure seamless product development, launch, and ongoing management.
  • Translate market and customer needs into clear, concise, and actionable product requirements (e.g., user stories, specifications, use cases).
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization, ensuring timely delivery and successful adoption.
  • Monitor and analyze product performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous innovation.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on insurance products, market trends, and regulatory changes, providing guidance and insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver product training and presentations to internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure all products adhere to relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Mentor and coach junior product managers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.

You bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in product management within the health insurance industry.
  • Deep understanding of health insurance products, market dynamics, regulatory landscape, and competitive environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing complex insurance products from ideation to post-launch optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
  • Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Prior experience with self-funded health plans is a plus.
