Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and engineers to identify and prioritize strategic data initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing data assets, systems, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, standardization, and innovation.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data strategy roadmap, outlining key initiatives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Define and implement data governance policies, standards, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of new data technologies and tools, ensuring alignment with the overall data strategy.
- Provide thought leadership and expertise on emerging data trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior data professionals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in data strategy, data governance, data architecture, or a similar analytical role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful data strategies and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality frameworks, and data security best practices.
- Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
