What you’ll be doing
- Building new functionality for our customers (site owners and holidaymakers) including implementing front-end design, UI/UX
- Developing tools for our internal teams
- Owning projects end-to-end, from planning through to deployment and maintenance
- Helping to maintain and improve our extensive PHP/JS codebase
- Working closely with other members of the tech team (currently seven people) as well to product, marketing and customer service
- Collaborating on technical architecture and new technologies
- Participating in code reviews
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience developing complex web applications with modern JavaScript/TypeScript (e.g., React, Vue, Angular)
- Excellent HTML and CSS skills, with an eye for UI/UX
- Deep understanding of how the web works (HTTP, DNS, browsers, web performance, security, etc.)
- Comfortable working with a backend (our stack is PHP/Symfony, MySQL, Solr, Redis)
- Experience writing clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A self-starter who can take initiative and work independently
- Someone who enjoys continuous learning and sharing knowledge
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience with backend PHP development
- Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
