About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Designer (Senior/Staff/Principal) to join our team. You’ll be responsible for crafting exceptional user experiences for our next generation personal finance app, from concept to launch. This is a remote position open to candidates based in the USA & Canada. We’re hiring for multiple levels within the Product Design role (Senior, Staff, Principal), and will determine the appropriate level based on your experience and interview performance.
What you’ll do
- Take ambiguous problems and transform them into clear, actionable designs through user research, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
- Own the end-to-end design process, from discovery and definition to detailed UI and implementation, for key product areas.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to ensure design solutions are feasible, effective, and align with business goals.
- Contribute to the evolution of our design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and efficiency across our products.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to a culture of design excellence and continuous learning. (For Staff/Principal levels)
Who you are
- 8+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on consumer-facing products, ideally in FinTech or a related field. (For Senior/Staff/Principal roles).
- Expertise in user research methodologies, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale effectively.
- A collaborative spirit and a proven track record of working successfully within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS) is a plus, but not required.
