The Senior Pricing Analyst supports internal clients with the development of accurate, timely and defensible cost proposals, ensuring compliance with approved business system practices and pertinent regulations (e.g., FAR, CAS, DCAA). The Senior Pricing Analyst works closely with other members of the Pricing team, Business Development, Contracts, and Project Teams. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading or supporting the development of cost proposals including all aspects of proposal preparation (e.g., developing proposal schedule, compiling cost narrative, reviewing and analyzing cost data, preparing cost volume documentation and supporting schedules)
- Collaborating with various internal departments and teams (e.g., Contracts, Project Teams, Accounting, Finance, HR) to ensure comprehensive and accurate cost proposals
- Providing pricing strategy and guidance
- Performing detailed analysis of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs)
- Participating in proposal kick-off meetings
- Supporting fact-finding and negotiations
- Supporting external audit requests (e.g., DCAA, DCMA)
- Supporting special projects (e.g., ad hoc analysis, reporting, training)
- Supporting continuous process improvement initiatives
- Supporting the development and maintenance of pricing tools, templates, and procedures
- Adhering to business system policies, procedures, and ethical standards
- Training and mentoring junior staff
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal government contracting (e.g., pricing, contracts, subcontracts, finance)
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and other agency supplements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities
Preferred
- Experience with CPQ (Configure Price Quote) software (e.g., Salesforce CPQ, Pros, Price f(x))
- Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense)
- Experience with data analytics and visualization
