We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Perps team and build out the backend infrastructure for the next generation of DeFi perpetuals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend development, distributed systems, and a passion for the DeFi space.
What you will do:
- Architect, design, and implement scalable and reliable backend services for our perpetuals platform.
- Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and databases to support trading, risk management, and settlement functionalities.
- Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and quantitative researchers to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Ensure the security, performance, and availability of our backend systems through robust testing, monitoring, and optimization.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the overall technical vision of the team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and the DeFi ecosystem.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a focus on building high-performance, fault-tolerant systems.
- Proficiency in Go (Golang) is required.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, especially perpetuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Solidity or other smart contract languages is a plus.
