MissionWired is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting, ensuring compliance with ASC 606, and providing strategic financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire revenue recognition process in compliance with ASC 606 standards.
- Manage and reconcile revenue-related accounts, including deferred revenue, accounts receivable, and accrued revenue.
- Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of revenue data.
- Prepare and analyze complex revenue recognition schedules, forecasts, and reports.
- Collaborate closely with sales, legal, and operations teams to ensure proper contract review and revenue treatment.
- Support external audits by providing comprehensive documentation and explanations related to revenue recognition.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in revenue accounting processes and systems.
- Assist with other accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, with a strong emphasis on ASC 606.
- Proven track record of managing and reconciling complex revenue streams.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Prior experience in a technology or SaaS company is a plus.
