The Account Executive role is at the heart of our mission. This is where we bring our products to the market and our customers’ ideas to life. In this role, you will be selling products that developers and businesses use to build their future communications. This role will be focused on a specific segment of mid-market companies and will carry a quota.
What you’ll do:
- Consistently meet or exceed your sales quota and all activity metrics.
- Generate pipeline, manage a robust pipeline, and accurately forecast your business.
- Be an expert on the Communications Platform, and Twilio products.
- Successfully create and nurture C-level relationships that lead to new opportunities and revenue growth.
- Conduct deep discovery of current initiatives, identify gaps, and sell value based on use case.
- Deliver outstanding results by using a solution-based selling approach, aligning with the customer’s problems and initiatives, and crafting solutions tied to business value.
- Be an expert at running demonstrations and presentations.
- Collaborate with business partners (e.g., Sales Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Success, and leadership) to maximize customer value and generate new business.
What you’ll need:
- 6+ years of quota carrying software sales experience.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding quota.
- Experience carrying and closing a $1M+ quota.
- Proficiency with Salesforce and Google Suite.
- Skilled at prospecting and passionate about growing a territory.
- A deep understanding of the CPaaS market and developer platform.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
Bonus points:
- Experience selling to developers.
- Familiarity with various API product suites and integrations.
- Experience working with large teams and complex accounts.
