As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in understanding, defining, and documenting the requirements for our innovative government projects. You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and various stakeholders to translate complex needs into actionable plans, ensuring the successful delivery of user-centric solutions. Your expertise will be vital in driving efficiency, clarity, and alignment across our diverse project teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, concise, and actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to ensure requirements are well-understood and accurately implemented.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of existing systems, processes, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including business process flows, use cases, and system specifications.
  • Participate in testing activities, including developing test cases and performing user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support the product backlog grooming process, ensuring stories are ready for development.
  • Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Monitor and analyze project performance, identifying areas for optimization and reporting on key metrics.
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and government regulations relevant to digital services.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Proven experience working on complex software development projects, particularly within government or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable components.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed documentation, including requirements specifications, user stories, and process flows.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
  • Experience with federal government clients and an understanding of their unique challenges and procurement processes is a plus.
  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
