Data Scientist – Marketing Analytics (Mobile)

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our Marketing Analytics team. This role will focus on leveraging data to drive strategic decisions and optimize marketing performance across our mobile platforms. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing advanced analytical solutions, providing insights that directly impact our user acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and implement predictive models, segmentation strategies, and A/B tests to optimize marketing campaigns and improve ROI.
  • Design and build dashboards and reports to monitor key marketing metrics, providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in user behavior and marketing performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product, Engineering) to define data requirements, implement tracking, and ensure data integrity.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences, influencing business decisions.
  • Research and evaluate new data sources, tools, and methodologies to enhance our analytical capabilities.
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Data Scientist or similar role, with a strong focus on marketing analytics for mobile products.
  • Proficient in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development.
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and experimental design (A/B testing).
  • Experience with marketing attribution models, LTV prediction, churn analysis, and customer segmentation.
  • Familiarity with mobile advertising platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads) and mobile analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Firebase).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • Bonus: Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker) and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).

This role can be based out of our San Francisco, CA office, but we’re open to candidates in other locations as long as they can maintain Pacific Time working hours.

The salary range for this position is C$226,000 to C$267,000 annually.
