A cutting-edge leader in the digital services sector is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data & Analytics Engineer to join its innovative team. This is a full-time, remote position within the USA with an annual salary of C$229.5k-C$270k. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and analytical solutions, ensuring data quality and supporting strategic business initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Implement and optimize data models to support analytical reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data platforms.
- Drive the adoption of best practices in data governance, data management, and data architecture.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
- Proven expertise in designing and building robust, scalable data solutions using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in data manipulation and scripting.
- Extensive experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and data visualization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
