Responsibilities/Accountabilities include:
- Develop and conduct proteomics experiments, including sample preparation, mass spectrometry-based data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Work with diverse biological samples to identify and quantify proteins, analyze post-translational modifications, and interpret complex proteomic datasets to support research and development initiatives.
- Operate and maintain high-resolution mass spectrometers and associated equipment.
- Develop and optimize robust proteomic workflows for various applications.
- Perform proteomic data analysis using bioinformatics tools and statistical methods.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design experiments, interpret results, and contribute to scientific publications and presentations.
- Maintain accurate records of experiments, data, and protocols.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in proteomics technologies and methodologies.
Required:
- Ph.D. in Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or M.S. with 5+ years of relevant experience, or B.S. with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of mass spectrometry-based proteomics techniques (e.g., DDA, DIA, TMT/iTRAQ labeling, label-free quantification).
- Proficiency in proteomic data analysis software and bioinformatics tools (e.g., MaxQuant, Proteome Discoverer, Spectronaut, R, Python).
- Experience with sample preparation techniques for various biological matrices (e.g., cells, tissues, biofluids).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
Preferred:
- Experience with post-translational modification analysis.
- Knowledge of biomarker discovery and validation.
- Familiarity with clinical proteomics applications.
- Experience in a GLP/GCP regulated environment.
