Director – Community & Developer Advocacy

We are looking for a visionary and experienced leader to build and lead our Developer Advocacy and Community programs for a hyper-growth automation SaaS company. This is a unique opportunity to define the strategy, build the team, and execute a comprehensive plan that empowers developers and fosters a thriving community around our platform.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and execute a comprehensive strategy for developer advocacy and community building, aligning with product, marketing, and business objectives.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of Developer Advocates, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and manage scalable programs to engage developers, including hackathons, workshops, online forums, and meetups.
  • Create compelling technical content (e.g., tutorials, blog posts, sample applications, videos) that educates and inspires developers.
  • Act as a public face for the company, representing us at industry events, conferences, and online communities.
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive developer experience.
  • Track and analyze key metrics to measure the effectiveness of programs and inform future strategies.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in developer relations and community management.

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of experience in developer relations, developer advocacy, or community management roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling successful developer advocacy and community programs for B2B SaaS companies.
  • Strong technical background and ability to understand and articulate complex technical concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience creating technical content (code samples, tutorials, blog posts, videos).
  • Deep understanding of the developer ecosystem and the unique needs of developers.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a bias for action.
  • Passion for automation, security, or related technical domains.
  • Experience working remotely and asynchronously.
