We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Staff Product Designer to join our Breakout team. This role is crucial for defining and evolving the user experience of our product, working on complex challenges within the crypto space. You will own the design process from concept to launch, ensuring our products are not only functional but also intuitive and delightful.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the end-to-end design process, from user research and ideation to prototyping, user testing, and final hand-off to engineering.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to translate product strategy and requirements into compelling user experiences.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of user needs, business goals, and technical capabilities to inform design decisions.
- Create detailed wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to fostering a strong design culture within the team.
- Present design solutions and rationale to cross-functional teams and leadership, gathering feedback and iterating effectively.
- Contribute to and evolve our design system to ensure consistency and scalability across our product ecosystem.
Prerequisites:
- 8+ years of professional experience in product design, demonstrating a strong portfolio that showcases your design process, problem-solving skills, and successful product launches.
- Demonstrable expertise in designing complex web and/or mobile applications.
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Solid understanding of user research methodologies, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and persuasively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience working in the FinTech, blockchain, or cryptocurrency industry is highly desirable.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
