- Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
- Prepare master format estimates (hard dollar estimates)
- Prepare detailed estimates
- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors
- Advise on tendering procedures; bid preparation; obtain bids from subcontractors and suppliers
- Establish and maintain tendering process
- Co-ordinate tenders; prepare and submit tenders
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labour estimates for products, projects, or services
- Prepare cost estimates for projects
- Consult with clients, engineers, architects and subcontractors
- Analyze tenders and recommend awards
- Project cash flow and financing requirements
- Prepare estimates of probable costs of material, labour and equipment
- Prepare cost-benefit analysis
- Operate at least one of the following computer applications: MS Word; MS Excel; MS Outlook; Autodesk REVIT; CAD; Microsoft Dynamics AX
