As an Indirect Tax Manager, you will lead and own the global indirect tax function. You will lead the operational indirect tax compliance processes and manage global indirect tax projects. This is a crucial role for the finance organization as it supports various tax related requirements and initiatives across the globe.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and own the global indirect tax function.
- Lead the operational indirect tax compliance processes globally, ensuring accurate and timely filings.
- Manage global indirect tax projects, including new system implementations, process improvements, and expansion into new markets.
- Conduct indirect tax research and analysis to support business initiatives and ensure compliance with global tax regulations.
- Provide indirect tax advice and support to internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and business operations teams.
- Develop and implement indirect tax policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
- Manage indirect tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities globally.
- Collaborate with external advisors and consultants on indirect tax matters as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in global indirect tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
- Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements in the indirect tax function.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in indirect tax, with a focus on global VAT/GST, sales tax, and other transaction taxes.
- Strong knowledge of global indirect tax laws and regulations, with experience in multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience with tax technology solutions and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with large multinational corporations.
