Release Manager – Monopoly GO!

The game has had a massive global reach, launching in 195 countries in 18 languages, and is showing no signs of slowing down. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Release Manager to join our Monopoly GO! team.

As a Release Manager for Monopoly GO!, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of our game updates and new features. You will be responsible for coordinating release activities across various teams, managing the release pipeline, and maintaining the highest quality standards.

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate release activities for Monopoly GO!, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Work closely with development, QA, product, and live operations teams to define release scope, identify dependencies, and manage risks.
  • Establish and maintain release schedules, communicating key milestones and deadlines to all stakeholders.
  • Implement and optimize release processes, identifying areas for improvement and streamlining workflows.
  • Manage code branching, merging, and version control, ensuring the integrity of the codebase.
  • Oversee the deployment of builds to various environments (e.g., development, staging, production).
  • Monitor and report on release progress, providing regular updates to leadership and team members.
  • Facilitate post-release reviews and retrospectives to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging tools in release management.

What you’ll need:

  • 5+ years of experience in release management, preferably in the mobile gaming or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to coordinate complex release cycles with multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to have, but not required:

  • Experience with mobile application stores (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) and their submission processes.

Please note: This is a contractor position for 12 months with potential for extension.
