About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and visionary Senior Director of Product to lead our Ads Platform product area. This is a critical leadership role that will drive the strategy, roadmap, and execution for the foundational systems and tools that power our entire advertising business. You will be responsible for defining the future of Reddit’s ad technology, ensuring we build a robust, scalable, and innovative platform that serves the needs of advertisers, users, and internal teams.
Your Responsibilities:
- Define and evangelize the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Ads Platform, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and market trends.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Drive product discovery, research, and validation processes to identify unmet customer needs and market opportunities.
- Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and specification to development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and delivery of platform capabilities.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of platform initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the advertising technology space, staying abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Communicate product strategy, progress, and results effectively to executive leadership and across the organization.
What We Can Expect From You:
- 12+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion (5+ years) specifically focused on building and scaling advertising platforms or related ad tech infrastructure.
- 7+ years of leadership experience, including managing and developing a team of Product Managers.
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Deep understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including ad serving, targeting, measurement, optimization, and privacy regulations.
- Strong technical acumen and ability to engage in detailed discussions with engineering teams on architectural decisions and technical trade-offs.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience working with large-scale data systems and real-time platforms is highly desirable.
