We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Workday Payroll Optimization Senior Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Workday Payroll functionality and a proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing Workday payroll solutions for diverse clients. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for helping organizations streamline their payroll processes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver complex Workday payroll implementation projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Lead client discovery sessions to gather requirements, analyze existing payroll processes, and identify areas for optimization.
- Configure and test Workday payroll modules, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and integrations.
- Design and implement payroll solutions that align with client business objectives and Workday best practices.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit, system, and user acceptance testing, to validate payroll functionality.
- Provide expert guidance and support to clients throughout the project lifecycle, from design to go-live and post-implementation support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HCM, Absence, and Time Tracking consultants, to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Stay updated with the latest Workday releases, features, and functionalities, and incorporate them into project deliverables.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Workday payroll implementation experience (including Workday Payroll for US, Canada, or global payroll integrations).
- Experience leading Workday payroll implementations as a Senior Consultant, Lead Consultant, or Project Manager.
- Deep understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
- Proven experience in configuring and testing Workday payroll modules.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to 25%).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Workday Payroll Certification.
- Experience with other Workday modules (e.g., HCM, Absence, Time Tracking).
- Prior consulting experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant certifications.
