Staff AI Product Engineer

We are looking for a Staff AI Product Engineer to join the AI and Product team. As a Staff AI Product Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mental health care by combining your deep technical expertise in AI with a strong product mindset. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of AI product development, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and iteration, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions that improve the mental well-being of our members.

What You’ll Do:
Drive the end-to-end development, deployment, and optimization of AI-powered features and products. Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to translate business requirements and user needs into technical solutions. Design and implement scalable and robust machine learning systems, from data ingestion and model training to inference and monitoring. Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring best practices in software engineering, testing, and documentation. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML research and technologies, evaluating and recommending new approaches to enhance our products. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Contribute to the overall AI strategy and roadmap, identifying opportunities for innovation and impact.

Who You Are:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3+ years focused on AI/ML product development. Strong proficiency in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps tools and practices. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data science principles. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges and make data-driven decisions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment. Experience in the healthcare or mental health domain is a plus, but not required. A passion for leveraging AI to improve mental well-being and a commitment to ethical AI development.
