Runway is looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for our foundational machine learning technologies. In this role, you will define and drive the product roadmap for our ML platform and infrastructure, ensuring we build robust, scalable, and innovative solutions that empower creative users.
What you’ll do:
- Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for our foundational machine learning technologies, focusing on model research, training, evaluation, and deployment infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with ML researchers, engineers, and product designers to translate complex technical capabilities into intuitive, impactful product features for our users.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback synthesis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and specification to launch, iteration, and post-launch analysis.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of ML products and initiatives.
- Champion a data-driven approach to product development, leveraging analytics and experimentation to inform decisions.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and user-centricity within the ML product team.
What you’ll need:
- 7+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion focused on machine learning platforms, tools, or products.
- Deep understanding of the ML lifecycle, including data collection, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful ML-powered products or features that have driven significant user and business impact.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage in technical discussions with ML researchers and engineers.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- A passion for empowering creativity through cutting-edge technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Bonus points: Experience with MLOps platforms, cloud-based ML services (AWS, GCP, Azure), or generative AI technologies.
