We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team. You will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining the foundational cloud services and infrastructure that power our applications. You will:
* Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS.
* Develop and champion best practices for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to provide guidance and support on infrastructure-related needs, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, proactively identifying and mitigating potential problems.
* Participate in on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure.
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
You have:
* 7+ years of professional experience in software development, with a significant focus on cloud infrastructure.
* Strong proficiency in AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform).
* Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
* Solid experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
* Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby).
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement highly available, scalable, and secure distributed systems.
* Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
Bonus Points:
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
* Experience with database administration (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
* Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
* Background in a consumer-facing product company.
