We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff/Principal Web UI Engineer to join our team dedicated to building and enhancing the Netflix Game Controller.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge web user interfaces that provide an immersive and seamless gaming experience for millions of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex web UI features for the Netflix Game Controller.
- Drive technical architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and industry best practices, and advocate for their adoption where appropriate.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues across the web UI stack.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in web UI development, with a strong focus on front-end technologies.
- Expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Deep understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience with build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library), and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
