Senior Value Engineer

About the Team
We’re looking for a Senior Value Engineer to join our Value Engineering team within the Global Sales organization. This team works with prospects and customers to articulate the economic value and business impact that Twilio can deliver. As a trusted advisor, you will lead strategic discussions with senior executives to quantify the value of Twilio’s solutions, including both new business and optimization opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Sales teams to identify and qualify strategic opportunities, leveraging Value Engineering to accelerate deal cycles and expand deal sizes.
  • Develop and deliver compelling business cases and value propositions that quantify the financial benefits of Twilio’s solutions, tailored to specific customer needs and industries.
  • Lead executive-level workshops and presentations to articulate the strategic and financial impact of Twilio’s platform, aligning with customer objectives and priorities.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including ROI, TCO, and payback period calculations, to support proposed solutions and demonstrate tangible business value.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Professional Services teams to refine value messaging, develop industry-specific content, and incorporate customer feedback into solution development.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and best practices in value realization, sharing insights with internal teams and customers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Value Engineering methodologies, tools, and collateral, enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in Value Engineering, Management Consulting, Sales Engineering, or a related role, with a proven track record of success in driving strategic business outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience building complex business cases, ROI models, and TCO analyses.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior executives.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models and the ability to articulate value across various industries and use cases.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides).
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and business intelligence tools is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings and internal events.

Compensation
The estimated pay range for this role is C$147,150 – C$203,850 per year. The salary will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and the location of the role. This range also includes a commission target, which is typically 20% of the base salary.
