About the Role
As a Consumer Credit Lead on the Cards team, you’ll lead the strategy, development, and maintenance of our consumer credit offerings for small businesses. You’ll be responsible for making credit decisions, defining risk parameters, and ensuring the overall health of our card portfolio. This role requires a deep understanding of consumer credit, strong analytical skills, and a strategic mindset to drive growth and manage risk effectively.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement consumer credit strategies for our card products, balancing growth and risk.
- Manage the end-to-end credit lifecycle, from application to collections, for consumer credit products.
- Define, monitor, and adjust credit policies, underwriting rules, and risk parameters.
- Analyze portfolio performance, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize credit outcomes.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to integrate credit features and improve processes.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to ensure our credit offerings remain best-in-class.
We’re looking for
- 7+ years of experience in consumer credit, risk management, or a related field, preferably within a fintech or banking environment.
- Proven track record of developing and managing credit products, with a strong understanding of credit scoring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
- Deep analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bonus points: Experience with small business lending or cards products.
