About the Team:
The AI Foundations team is responsible for building and operating the foundational platform and tools that empower machine learning practitioners across the company. We’re looking for an experienced Tech Lead Manager to drive the development of our next-generation GenAI sandbox and tooling, enabling rapid experimentation and deployment of generative AI models. This is a critical role at the intersection of AI innovation and platform engineering.
What you’ll do:
- Lead a team of talented engineers in designing, building, and maintaining a robust GenAI sandbox platform.
- Define the technical roadmap and strategy for GenAI tooling, ensuring alignment with broader AI initiatives.
- Drive the adoption of best practices for generative AI model development, evaluation, and deployment within the sandbox.
- Collaborate closely with AI researchers, product teams, and infrastructure engineers to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Mentor and grow engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.
- Contribute to the hands-on development of critical components and architectural decisions.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the GenAI sandbox platform.
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on AI/ML platforms, distributed systems, or developer tooling.
- 3+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager role, leading high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of generative AI concepts, models (LLMs, Diffusion Models), and their lifecycle.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience building and operating scalable cloud-native platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Strong architectural design skills and a track record of delivering complex technical projects.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
