About the Role
As a member of the Identity team within Data Engineering, you’ll be an Analytics Engineer, building and enhancing critical data pipelines, datasets, and self-service tools for the Identity domain. You’ll play a crucial role in enabling data-driven decision-making for various product and engineering teams, contributing to the success of our global platform.
Identity is a foundational domain, touching every aspect of our business. Your work will directly impact how members and partners interact with our service, ensuring a seamless and secure experience.
What you’ll do
- Build and enhance critical data pipelines, datasets, and self-service tools for the Identity domain.
- Work closely with data engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs, define metrics, and deliver impactful data solutions.
- Apply your expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization to translate complex business requirements into scalable and reliable data products.
- Collaborate with other analytics engineers and data scientists to establish best practices, improve data quality, and foster a data-driven culture.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering their growth and development.
Who you are
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Experience with building and optimizing large-scale ETL pipelines using tools like Spark, Flink, or Airflow.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience designing robust, scalable data schemas.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and a passion for creating intuitive self-service dashboards.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Preferred: Experience with Scala or Python.
- Preferred: Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
- Preferred: Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
