What you will do:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced geospatial data analysis models and algorithms.
- Extract, transform, and load complex geospatial datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Conduct in-depth geospatial analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations, providing actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial intelligence, data science, and analytics technologies.
- Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to the growth and development of the data analytics team.
- Optimize existing data pipelines and processes for efficiency, scalability, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geography, GIS, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, with a strong focus on geospatial intelligence.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling.
- Expertise in SQL for querying and managing large datasets.
- Solid understanding of geospatial concepts, theories, and techniques (e.g., spatial statistics, remote sensing, cartography).
- Experience with GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
