As a Data Scientist (L5) focusing on Cloud Games Quality of Experience, you will play a pivotal role in understanding and optimizing the user experience for cloud gaming. You will leverage data to identify key factors influencing game quality, design experiments, and develop sophisticated models to drive improvements. What you will do:
- Design and execute experiments to understand factors impacting streaming quality and user perception in cloud games.
- Develop and implement advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics to identify patterns and insights.
- Define, measure, and monitor key metrics related to user experience, game performance, and system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and content teams to translate data-driven insights into actionable recommendations and product features.
- Clearly and concisely communicate complex analytical findings, methodologies, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proactively identify new opportunities for data collection, analysis, and experimentation to continuously enhance the cloud gaming experience.
Who you are / Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field, with a proven track record of delivering impact.
- PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages like Python and SQL; experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Expertise in experimental design (A/B testing), causal inference, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex analytical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry, video streaming, or real-time interactive systems is a strong advantage.
