Our Android Foundations team builds the core platform and infrastructure that powers the Netflix Android app experience. We build robust, reliable, and scalable systems that enable hundreds of engineers to innovate and deliver compelling features to millions of users worldwide.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain core Android platform components and infrastructure.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and scalability of the Netflix Android app.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define and implement new features and improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems.
What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years of experience developing Android applications.
- Strong understanding of Android architecture components, UI frameworks, and performance optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Experience with large-scale, high-performance Android applications.
- Proven ability to design and implement complex software systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
