Netflix’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a growing analytics and data science team that strives to be the most impactful data science and analytical group within Netflix. The CIA Insights Team is seeking a Senior Product Designer to shape the future of internal analytics at Netflix.
You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering intuitive and powerful tools that empower our data scientists and analysts to extract actionable insights from our vast amounts of data.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and data science to define the strategy and roadmap for the CIA Insights Platform.
- Take complex problems and turn them into elegant and intuitive design solutions.
- Lead the end-to-end design process from discovery and research to wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Evangelize user-centered design practices and drive consistency across the Insights Platform.
- Present and articulate design decisions to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Mentor and grow other designers.
- Contribute to our design system.
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience designing and shipping successful data products or complex platforms.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in product design, interaction design, and visual design.
- Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- A strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Experience with design systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Experience mentoring other designers.
- Bonus Points: Experience with large-scale data systems or machine learning platforms.
