Mercury is building a bank for startups. We’re a team of ~450 people working remotely to make banking delightful for founders. We process billions of dollars each year for tens of thousands of companies.
We’re looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our growing Sales team. As an AE, you’ll be responsible for closing new business with high-growth startups and high-potential businesses.
What you’ll do:
- Help develop and close opportunities with high-growth startups and high-potential businesses (seed, Series A, B, and C).
- Build relationships with founders and finance leads to understand their challenges and identify how Mercury can help their business grow.
- Manage a pipeline of inbound and outbound leads, moving deals through the entire sales cycle, from qualification to close.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Growth, Marketing, Legal, Underwriting) to ensure a smooth onboarding and ongoing customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM (Salesforce).
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Mercury’s products and the broader FinTech landscape.
About you:
- You have 5+ years of experience in a full-cycle B2B sales role, preferably selling SaaS or financial services to startups.
- You have a track record of exceeding quotas and closing deals up to $50k ARR.
- You’re comfortable with a high volume of activity (50+ touches/day) and managing complex sales cycles.
- You’re a clear, concise, and empathetic communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- You’re curious, proactive, and eager to learn about new products and industries.
- You’re process-oriented and can follow a sales methodology while also adapting to new challenges.
- You’re excited about building and improving sales processes and playbooks.
- You’re comfortable working remotely and collaborating asynchronously.
- You’re passionate about helping startups succeed.
