As a Design Engineer, you will work on the front-end features of our web application (React, TypeScript), contribute to our design system (Storybook), and develop custom UI components.
What you’ll do:
- Help us build the next generation of our user-facing AI research assistant product.
- Work on the front-end features of our web application (React, TypeScript).
- Contribute to our design system (Storybook).
- Develop custom UI components.
- Work closely with our product designers, engineers, and researchers to implement new product features and improve existing ones.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate front-end features with our AI/ML models.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality code and user experience.
- Help shape the technical direction of our front-end stack and design system.
- Contribute to an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative team culture.
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of professional experience as a front-end engineer or design engineer, with a strong portfolio of web applications.
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript.
- Experience building and maintaining design systems (e.g., Storybook, Figma).
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Ability to translate design mockups and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bonus points for experience with AI/ML products, data visualization, or performance optimization.
