As a Security Engineer III, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening our security posture. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security solutions across our infrastructure and applications. You will collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle, conduct security assessments, and respond to incidents.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain security solutions for infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.
- Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools.
- Mentor junior security engineers and promote a culture of security awareness.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in a security engineering role.
- Strong understanding of security principles, protocols, and technologies (e.g., encryption, authentication, network security, cloud security).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby).
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
