Associate Director – Life Sciences Advisory – Data & Analytics (Technical Lead)

As a member of our Data and Analytics practice you will play a critical role in supporting our growth efforts in the Life Sciences advisory segment. You will work closely with clients to understand their business challenges and objectives and develop data-driven solutions to support strategic decision making. As a technical lead you will lead a team of data and analytics professionals, providing guidance and mentorship on project execution, technical approaches, and professional development.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the overall growth and success of the Life Sciences Data & Analytics practice, including business development, thought leadership, and talent development.
  • Serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert in data analytics and data science, staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Lead and manage projects within the Life Sciences Data & Analytics practice, including project planning, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges, objectives, and data needs, translating them into actionable data-driven solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced analytics solutions, including predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization dashboards.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders, effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the Life Sciences Data & Analytics practice.

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline. A Master’s degree or PhD is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with a focus on the life sciences industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or technical lead role, managing and mentoring data and analytics teams.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and building interactive dashboards.
  • Experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimental design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with consulting or professional services is a plus.
