Engineering Manager – Member Experience Client Foundations

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Member Experience Client Foundations team. This team is crucial for driving innovation and efficiency in client development, impacting how millions of subscribers worldwide enjoy entertainment. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader, passionate about building robust client platforms, and adept at fostering a high-performing engineering culture.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead and mentor a team of talented client engineers, fostering their growth and ensuring high performance.
  • Define and execute the technical strategy and roadmap for client platform foundations, collaborating closely with product partners and other engineering teams.
  • Drive the architecture, design, and implementation of core client platform components, frameworks, and tools used across various client applications.
  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of client-side systems, contributing to a seamless member experience.
  • Promote best practices in client engineering, including testing, code quality, and release processes.
  • Contribute to the broader engineering community by sharing knowledge, insights, and innovations.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, adapting to evolving business needs.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in an engineering management role, leading client-focused teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in client-side technologies, including mobile (iOS/Android) or TV platforms, and proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Swift, Java, C++, JavaScript).
  • Strong architectural design skills and experience building scalable, performant, and maintainable client platforms.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects from conception to launch.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire engineers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
