Business Security Partner (L5) – M&A

The Corporate Security team plays a critical role in protecting Netflix’s people, assets, and reputation globally. The team is responsible for managing security risks, ensuring compliance, and responding to incidents across all aspects of the business. The Role: We are looking for a Business Security Partner to join the Security Intelligence & Governance team within Corporate Security, focusing on Merger & Acquisition due diligence and integration. This role will be instrumental in safeguarding Netflix’s security posture throughout the M&A lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of information security principles, M&A processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams. Responsibilities: Lead security due diligence for M&A activities, ensuring security risks are identified, assessed, and communicated. Develop and implement security integration plans for acquired entities, aligning with existing security policies and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Legal, HR, Engineering, IT, Finance, etc.) to ensure seamless security integration and compliance. Manage security posture assessments post-acquisition, identifying gaps and driving remediation efforts. Provide expert security advice and guidance to M&A teams and acquired entities throughout the deal lifecycle. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the M&A security program, including developing playbooks, tools, and best practices. Act as a central point of contact for security matters related to M&A. Prerequisites: 8+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on M&A security due diligence and integration. Deep understanding of security domains (e.g., identity and access management, data protection, network security, application security, cloud security, incident response, governance, risk, and compliance). Proven ability to identify and assess security risks in complex business environments. Experience developing and implementing effective security integration strategies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple M&A projects concurrently. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP/US) are a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. Experience with a global, fast-paced organization is a plus.
