Principal Product Operations and Risk Analyst

As a Principal, Product Operations and Risk Analyst, you will work closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to develop and implement controls, processes, and tools to monitor and manage product risks effectively. This role is crucial in safeguarding our products, customers, and business from potential risks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and contributing to the overall stability and success of our FinTech offerings.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement product operations controls, processes, and tools to effectively monitor and manage risks across our product portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, compliance, legal, and other stakeholders to integrate risk management best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments for new and existing products, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Define and track key risk indicators (KRIs) and performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of product risk controls.
  • Prepare and present regular risk reports to senior management, highlighting emerging risks and control performance.
  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives to address identified product risks and enhance operational resilience.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in financial services risk management, especially within the digital asset space.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on product risk and operations, providing guidance and training to internal teams.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in product operations, risk management, or a similar role within financial services or a regulated tech environment.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing risk controls and processes for complex financial products.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC, sanctions, consumer protection) and their impact on product development and operations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with digital assets, blockchain technology, or fintech products is a significant plus.
  • Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) are a plus.
