Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the Insider Threat Program (ITP), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive insider threat risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Lead investigations into potential insider threat incidents, gather evidence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Legal, HR, IT Security).
  • Develop and deliver insider threat awareness training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Stay current with evolving insider threat methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT security, legal, HR, and other departments to integrate insider threat controls into existing processes.
  • Prepare and present reports on insider threat activities, trends, and program effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Manage and enhance insider threat detection tools and technologies.
  • Develop and update insider threat policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to insider threats.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in insider threat, cybersecurity, risk management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of insider threat methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with insider threat detection technologies (e.g., UEBA, DLP, SIEM).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP, CEH, CERT Insider Threat Program Manager) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in government contracting or federal sector environments preferred.
