Anesthesia Regional Director – ASC

We are looking for an Anesthesia Regional Director, ASC to lead our fast-growing Anesthesia service line. This is a 100% remote role, with travel up to 50% within the region, and reports to the VP of Operations.

As the Regional Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical and operational performance of our Anesthesia programs across multiple Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) within a designated region. You will play a critical role in driving growth, ensuring high-quality patient care, and optimizing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead a team of anesthesia providers and clinical staff within a defined region.
  • Oversee the clinical and operational performance of Anesthesia ASC programs.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the Anesthesia service line.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Foster strong relationships with surgeons, facility administrators, and other key stakeholders.
  • Manage regional budgets and financial performance of Anesthesia programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety, quality of care, and operational efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and develop high-performing anesthesia teams.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • MD or DO degree with Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in Anesthesiology, with at least 3 years in a leadership or directorship role within an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) setting.
  • MBA or MHA preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven track record of successful leadership, operational management, and business development in healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of ASC operations, regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, AAAHC), and anesthesia best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned region.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.
