Twilio is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team of security engineers on the Product Security organization. This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who wants to specialize in security.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing security features and services that protect Twilio’s products and customers. You will work closely with other engineers within the team to ensure that our products are secure by design. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the security community through open-source projects, blog posts, or conference talks.
What you’ll do:
- Be an important part of our team, designing, implementing, and reviewing security features and services.
- Collaborate with other engineers within the team to design and implement security architecture for new and existing services.
- Work with product teams to provide security expertise and guidance.
- Develop security tools, automation, and processes to improve the overall security posture of our products.
- Participate in incident response and vulnerability remediation efforts.
- Contribute to the security community through open-source projects, blog posts, or conference talks.
What you’ll bring:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience with building scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
