Marketing Manager

CALSTART is a national non-profit consortium working with business, fleets, and government to innovate solutions for a clean transportation future. With more than 300 member companies, fleets, and agencies, CALSTART is a growing national organization with offices in New York, Michigan, Colorado, and California. We are a fast-paced, high-impact organization.

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for CALSTART’s impactful initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clean transportation and a proven track record of driving successful marketing campaigns.

This is a full-time, remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote CALSTART’s programs, projects, and thought leadership.
  • Manage a calendar of marketing activities, ensuring timely execution of initiatives across various channels.
  • Collaborate with program teams to understand their objectives and translate them into compelling marketing messages and materials.
  • Oversee the creation of engaging content, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, press releases, newsletters, and presentations.
  • Manage CALSTART’s digital presence, including website content updates, SEO optimization, and social media engagement.
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including list segmentation, content creation, and performance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external agencies, vendors, and partners as needed for marketing initiatives.
  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing and clean transportation.
  • Support CALSTART’s overall communications strategy and brand guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the non-profit, clean transportation, or environmental sectors.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative thinker with a data-driven approach to marketing.
  • Passion for clean transportation and environmental sustainability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.

Salary and Benefits:

Competitive annual salary of C$115,000 to C$131,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. CALSTART also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 403(b) retirement plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
