A Test Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to ensure the quality and reliability of software systems. This role plays a crucial part in the software development lifecycle, working closely with development and QA teams to maintain high-quality standards.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and execute automated tests using AI-powered tools and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify and report software defects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Perform root cause analysis of failures and provide actionable insights.
  • Continuously improve test automation processes and tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in AI and test automation.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices in test automation.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with AI-powered testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Applitools, Testim, mabl).
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.
