The Opportunity
As a Senior Platform Engineer, Infrastructure, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining the foundational systems and tools that empower our engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and internal developer tools, ensuring a smooth and efficient development experience for the entire organization.
What you will do:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure efficient, reliable deployments.
- Build and maintain internal developer tools and platforms that enhance developer productivity and experience.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand their infrastructure needs and provide guidance on best practices for building and deploying applications.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to infrastructure, observability, and security.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support critical infrastructure and resolve production incidents.
We are looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of experience in a Senior Platform/DevOps/Infrastructure Engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Bash).
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid grasp of networking concepts, security best practices, and observability tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures is a plus.
- Experience with database administration (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is a plus.
- Experience with Kafka is a plus.
- Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g., FinTech, InsurTech) is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
