About the Role
As an AI Agents Solutions Architect specializing in Compliance at Kraken, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing advanced AI-driven solutions to ensure regulatory adherence and operational efficiency within our financial services ecosystem. This role requires a unique blend of expertise in AI architecture, deep understanding of compliance frameworks, and strong leadership to guide development and integration efforts. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams, compliance officers, and product managers to translate complex regulatory requirements into innovative AI agent capabilities, ultimately enhancing our ability to detect, prevent, and respond to compliance risks.
Responsibilities
- Architect AI Solutions: Design and develop scalable and robust AI agent architectures tailored for compliance use cases, including KYC, AML, transaction monitoring, and fraud detection.
- Compliance Framework Integration: Ensure AI solutions are compliant with global financial regulations (e.g., FATF, OFAC, BSA/AML) and internal policies.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in AI development, MLOps, and system integration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with compliance, legal, product, and engineering teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality AI products.
- Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and compliance technology, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Performance & Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance, accuracy, and efficiency of deployed AI compliance agents.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 4 years focused on AI/ML architecture or solutions design.
- Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale AI systems, particularly with agent-based architectures or multi-agent systems.
- Strong background in financial services compliance (KYC, AML, sanctions screening, fraud detection) is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Extensive experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Deep understanding of MLOps principles and tools for deploying and managing AI models in production.
- Experience with microservices architectures, APIs, and data integration techniques.

- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
